This short diatrible exhibits humorous satire that’s worth the read . . .
With comparisons of the imaginary UNIX Airways, Air DOS, Mac Airlines, Windows Air, Windows NT Air, Windows XP Air, and Linux Air, you’re sure to get a kick out of the operational styles.
My favorite quote relates to “Linux Air”:
?You had to do what with the seat??

Oh Baby!
I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair of these!!!
Bose QuietComfort 3 Noise Cancelling Headphones
Now that I’m wearing glasses most of my day, and every time I need to read something, I notice a decrease in performance with my QC2s because the ear cushions don’t fit snugly to my head. The frame temples of my eyeglasses prevent a good seal around the ear allowing some background noise into the pristine noise-cancelling environment.
The only way to ensure a good seal around the ear is to remove my glasses and try to balance them outside and on top of the QC2s. This not only looks goofy but makes it difficult to keep the bloomin’ things on my head. The glasses keep falling off!
With these new headphones and their on the ear instead of over the ear construction, that issue should be a thing of the past. I simply can’t wait to try a pair of these . . .

Here is one manufacturer that is finally getting with the program. Acer is forging ahead with development of digital media centers for consumer use.
The Acer Aspire Idea 500 Windows Media Center is nice and thin. It is a two rack space device and is much more likely to fit into small entertainment centers than the giant boxes running Windows XP MCE that are common fare. Most MCE solutions to date are small desktop towers requiring custom mounting in entertainment centers.
Even though more and more laptops are shipping with Windows XP MCE, their form factor s make them poorly suited for use in a home entertainment center. The Idea 500 has dual tuners and plenty of inputs and outputs for building an very slick entertainment system indeed.
